From The Archives: "Kinky Boots" Rehearsals
During the past year of quarantine I’ve done my fair share of digging through my archives. However, I had yet to go all the way back to my 2012 drive until today, when I found a whole gallery of rehearsal photos from the Tony Award-winning smash, “Kinky Boots.”
This show has always held a special place in my heart; it was my first as official production photographer and put me in a room with legends (both established and in the making…I mean look at how stacked this cast was!) that I’d only ever seen from a distance. Looking back at these photos—all taken before the show’s pre-Broadway Chicago tryout—I’m reminded of how generous these humans all were to some unknown kid with a camera. You all changed my life and I am forever grateful.
